A look, a thought

So something that I have touched on before is how we judge one another. I am hoping to look at this from a different light today. I know I have always been told 'first impressions count' but one thing which was very much in my upbringing was 'don't judge a book by it's cover' which I can see are quite contradicting. I do believe both are fair but not to be confused.
For example I dress the way I do not because I want people to like me but because I like people to know I am happy, out there and maybe a little good crazy. I don't although think its fair to have people judge myself, or others by their appearance. No you don't have the time to get everyone's story (I wish) but its not fair to think you understand by a simple look.

I saw an article the other day which straight out pissed me off titled "Muslim students 'told to leave' Convention Center for making patrons 'uncomfortable'". As in a previous article we hardly know if this is the truth but even so it is sickening that this thought is thrown out there for mouldable minds to see! Especially to have this happen in Perth, c'mon we Perthians are so much better than this!
Why let hate win, and the fact that it was about children going to a career expo!! The attendees are our future! How dare this attitude of a look being inappropriate be thrown onto our future when it should be stricken out now! How about celebrities and their lack of clothing being replicated by teens. Or teen drinking from movies, that's more viable for an uproar.
Please excuse the rant but I hope this opens a thought about understanding people before judging, you expect the same for yourself!
