Calum O'Connell, Owner/Creator of Fearless Active Wear. Haven't heard of him yet? Well you will and you will hear a lot. I have been lucky enough to get an opportunity to ask him a couple of questions about himself and Fearless.

I started with this is his story.

My name is Calum O'Connell and I'm a Personal Trainer. I've worked as a PT for over 10 years and during that time come across a lot of women who have really been struggling with their bodies. My background is from an athletic environment, I played professional soccer and spent most of my life trying to pursue that as a career. Unfortunately with professional sport it has its ups and downs and I experienced the harsh reality of that. Now I focus my time on training individuals and groups to educated them on living a more happy and positive life.

Given his history, I was intrigued to understand the lean towards female fitness.

It really came about through different experiences with working with PT or group fitness. For women there is a lot more emotional baggage than men. I find that women have a story and are emotionally connected to their bodies. Whether it be getting back into exercise after pregnancy or wanting to find balance in their lives, women are much more connected and create a great challenge to find out the root cause of why they are seeing me.

Fearless the name is quite interesting, he explained his theory.

Fearless is a word that everyone finds difficult to embrace. It's a word that could mean many things to different people and for many, it means attempting something like jumping out of a plane or scaling a height. For me, I want women to see Fearless as represented in embracing their bodies what ever shape or size they are. Not caring about what social media or society perceives the perfect body or personality or look to be. Fearless is about a woman going ' Yep I have stretch marks, I have cellulite, I'm a size 12, but that's what makes me who I am'. It would be amazing to have role models that are just normal everyday women who are happy, healthy and embracing themselves. That's what's going to change the perception of what society woman's body should be.

There has been great success so far, what does the future look like?

Well, if I said taking over the world in 2 years I'd be lying, but hey that would be amazing. I think it's about really trying to push the message across to as many women as possible that we are here for you. Whatever the the struggles are with your body, we are a brand that is here to encourage you to love yourself a lot more. We want to keep improving our garments and make them a staple in ever woman's wardrobe because they feel good, they hug those natural curves and they work with your body shape and not against it. If we can encourage and build belief in just one woman we are achieving so much.

Calum, I believe taking over the world is possible! One of those minds that can really help make the world a better, nicer place. Get on board!
