Back to Reality

A week and a half since getting home from holidays and the holiday buzz is slowly starting to wear off. I am determined to keep it though, so I am not giving up without a fight! It's true "travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer".

Being home and being a family body it is so lovely being back, I wont lie. Giving my fam their holiday gifts and explaining stories behind them and pictures is just so exciting. One of the things I realised more this time than any other of my travel experiences is how lucky we are in Perth. And no I am not just talking about how amazing our weather is majority of the time.

Most would have heard people complain at one point or another about how secluded and far away from everything Perth can be, I have complained before I'm am sure. Because of that I realised how safe we are here!

On the Metro in Paris I was so worried about everyone who was getting on and off and how close they got. Maybe I am dramatic, but I was totally overthinking what may be in every bag when someone was around. One of the nights we were too hung over to go to the Eiffel Tower for that one last time, that was the night it was evacuated due to a knife wielding man trying to attack. So maybe my concerns weren't so bad?

I mean we all have our crazies and I know Perth would have many of them! Maybe it's because its where I grew up, maybe we are secluded and somewhat unimportant in the real scale of things. But our little town called Perth is small, quiet, beautiful but quite a safe place to be living.
