A couple of weeks ago you may have seen a post I made, it’s been really playing on my mind. Donetella Vercace was interviewed by Vogue and was asked, what does it mean to be a woman in 2018. Her answer was magical to me. ‘It means to be aware of what’s happening in the world and do something about it’
Donetella took over the designs when her brother died on 1997. For two decades she has been in the public eye running a business quietly, in comparison to some celebrities. In case you didn’t know her current net worth is approximately $300 million, if you believe everything you read. She also publically supports multiple AiDS research and support charities and disasters victim support foundations. Those she publicly supports, doesn’t mean that’s it.

Now I’m not posting a blog to tell you information which you could google yourself. My point is to get out and make a change. Educate yourself on what you want to change, no one likes someone who is taking a stand on something when they don’t know the real detail. No offence!
There are a billion and seven (not exact) ways that we can change the world and you doing it yourself is the way to start it. I mean one person can really make more difference than we realise. Successful businesses are started off with someone’s dream or want and taken off through the passion and understanding they have on it.
I think the keys are understanding/education, passion for what you are doing and taking that chance to jump out of your comfort zone to make a difference in the world.
I am a firm believer that doing something for others makes yourself feel better, but, I don’t believe in doing things to make yourself look better to others. Obviously any successful change can be quite good for publicity and can really make a name for yourself, but if your reason for making the change is to make a name for yourself, is it really worth doing it?
If you want to chat about your passion and have someone to bounce your ideas off please don’t hesitate to drop me a message. There has been many ways I have tried and failed at changing the world so I am happy to find out a way you can help. Now remember I’m not a pro, just someone who has had a lot of failures and try’s.
